There is a wealth of poetic content in this book and the author shares some of his personal insight as well. Daydreams and nightmares is split up into 2 major parts along with a prologue. The prologue, titled "Much Dreaming" has the author give us some stories about what inspired him to create the content within and he waxes philosophical about why he is so enthralled with the concept of dreaming. The author two parts: "Sunrise" and "Sunset" both offer huge collections of solid poetry that even had me nodding my head and snapping my fingers. Very good stuff there. My favorite part is actually Part 2: Sunset. Where the author gets a little more dark. I love dark. Dark stories and now it seems dark poetry. Overall this is just a really solid collection and opened my eyes to how entertaining poetry could be as a medium. I can definitely say that you'll find something here that resonates with you. There isn't a lot of flowery language (which I loved) but there is plenty of diverse subject matter here to keep you on your toes. 4 stars!
